وَقَالَ مُوۡسٰى رَبَّنَاۤ اِنَّكَ اٰتَيۡتَ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَمَلَاَهٗ زِيۡنَةً وَّاَمۡوَالاً فِىۡ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَاۙ رَبَّنَا لِيُضِلُّوۡا عَنۡ سَبِيۡلِكَۚ رَبَّنَا اطۡمِسۡ عَلٰٓى اَمۡوَالِهِمۡ وَاشۡدُدۡ عَلٰى قُلُوۡبِهِمۡ فَلَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡا حَتّٰى يَرَوُا الۡعَذَابَ الۡاٰلِيۡمَ
And Musa (Moses) said: ‘O our Lord, surely You have provided Pharaoh and his chiefs with the means of embellishment and (abundance of) riches and wealth in the life of the world. O our Lord, (have You given them all this) in order that they turn (the people) away from Your path (sometime by tempting and sometime by terrifying them)? O our Lord, destroy their riches and make their hearts (so) callous that they may not believe even then, until they see the grievous torment.’
