43.الزُّخْرُف

فَاَهۡلَـكۡنَاۤ اَشَدَّ مِنۡهُمۡ بَطۡشًا وَّمَضٰى مَثَلُ الۡاَوَّلِيۡنَ‏

And We destroyed the people who were more powerful than these (disbelievers of Makka). And the annals of the bygone people have been cited (on many preceding occasions).
