اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ تَوَفّٰٮهُمُ الۡمَلٰٓٮِٕكَةُ ظَالِمِىۡۤ اَنۡفُسِهِمۡ قَالُوۡا فِيۡمَ كُنۡتُمۡؕ قَالُوۡا كُنَّا مُسۡتَضۡعَفِيۡنَ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِؕ قَالُوۡۤا اَلَمۡ تَكُنۡ اَرۡضُ اللّٰهِ وَاسِعَةً فَتُهَاجِرُوۡا فِيۡهَاؕ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ مَاۡوٰٮهُمۡ جَهَـنَّمُؕ وَسَآءَتۡ مَصِيۡرًاۙ
Indeed those whose lives angels take in such a state that (due to living in an environment of injustice, oppression and extremism) they have ruined their souls, the angels ask them: ‘What condition were you in? (You neither struggled to promote justice, tolerance and peace nor left for the land of equity and peace.)’ They (regretfully) reply: ‘We were powerless and helpless in the land.’ The angels will say: ‘Was not Allah’s earth vast enough for you to emigrate in it (somewhere)?’ So it is they whose abode is Hell, and what an evil abode that is!
