وَلَقَدۡ اَخَذۡنٰهُمۡ بِالۡعَذَابِ فَمَا اسۡتَكَانُوۡا لِرَبِّهِمۡ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُوۡنَ
And indeed We seized them with torment, but (still) they did not adopt submissiveness to their Lord, nor did they entreat in humility (before His Presence),
