وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمۡ اَحۡرَصَ النَّاسِ عَلٰى حَيٰوةٍ ۛۚ وَمِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اَشۡرَكُوۡا ۛۚ يَوَدُّ اَحَدُهُمۡ لَوۡ يُعَمَّرُ اَلۡفَ سَنَةٍۚ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحۡزِحِهٖ مِنَ الۡعَذَابِ اَنۡ يُّعَمَّرَؕ وَاللّٰهُ بَصِيۡرٌۢ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ
And you will certainly find them the most ambitious of mankind for longevity, (even) more than the polytheists aspire to attainEach one of them desires that he should be granted life of a thousand (years)But even if he is granted, such a prolonged life cannot save him from the tormentAnd Allah is monitoring their deeds minutely.
